
ABOUT
Twan Swagten (2000) is a Dutch composer. He received his first recognition when his piece ‘Waan’ got performed on the occasion of the gala concert from Fanfare Orchestra Eensgezindheid Maasbracht-Beek conducted by Jos Zegers. He received an invitation for an interview with the local radio broadcaster L1, and there was also an article written about Waan in the Dutch magazine Klankwijzer.
In 2019, Twan won the composition prize of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and won the second prize at Ricciotti’s Arranging Competition.
Twan obtained his Master’s degree in Applied Musicology from Utrecht University, graduating with a thesis on the Symphonies of Gustav Mahler. Now he is working at music publisher en sheet musical rental company Albersen/Deuss Music.
